Love to Love - Masters of Pleasure and Sexuality - Intimate Talks - Asi Efros & Anne Meunier

Q. In your view, how has society’s perception of sexuality evolved in recent years?

A. We are witnessing a real evolution — even a revolution — in how society perceives sexuality. For a long time, it was taboo, confined to the private sphere, or tied to performance. Now, it’s finally opening up to healthier, more inclusive, and more compassionate dimensions. Today, we talk about pleasure as a right, not a privilege. We talk about consent, diversity, self-love, accepting bodies as they are, and a desire that can be expressed in many ways, without rigid labels. At Love to Love, we celebrate this new era where sexuality is no longer a taboo subject but a pillar of personal fulfillment. Our mission is to support this liberation with sensory, playful, de-stigmatized products — and most importantly, products that are accessible to everyone, without judgment. Pleasure is a universal language, and it’s time to speak it out loud.

Love to Love pleasure & wellness products - Intimates talks on Lingerie Briefs

Q. What are some taboos you believe still need to be challenged?

A. There are still many, unfortunately. We often think that society has freed itself, but some topics are still silenced or stigmatized: female pleasure, desire during and after perimenopause and menopause, sexuality for people with disabilities, anal exploration, masturbation, adult toys… In 2025, it’s still hard for many to talk about these things without shame or judgment. At L2L, we want to help break these barriers with humor, color, and softness. Breaking taboos doesn’t always mean shocking people; it’s more about normalizing. The more we make sexual wellness visible, joyful, and inclusive, the more we allow everyone to live their pleasure without shame. We need to create safe spaces, educate without guilt, and, above all, open up to all forms of sexual well-being. That’s the freedom we celebrate every day with our products.

Love to Love pleasure & wellness products - Intimates talks on Lingerie BriefsQ. How can couples redefine play (foreplay) as a fulfilling experience in itself?

A. For a long time, foreplay was seen as just a necessary step before the “real thing,” as if there was a beginning, a goal, and an end. But pleasure doesn’t follow a linear path. It can start with a glance, a touch, a sensation… and never really stop. We see play as an adventure in itself. It’s a space for connection and intimacy. Redefining foreplay means removing performance pressure and focusing on fun, sensation, and emotion. Couples can find endless opportunities for discovery: trying a new texture, scent, hot-cold effect, surprising each other, laughing, improvising… Play becomes not only a moment of intimacy but also a space for excitement and creativity.

Love to Love pleasure & wellness products - Intimates talks on Lingerie BriefsQ. What steps can individuals take to reclaim their pleasure without guilt or shame?

A. The first step is deconstruction. Understanding that the shame we sometimes feel isn’t innate — it’s learned. It comes from societal norms, cultural or religious beliefs. Recognizing that is already a step toward reclaiming our power. Next, we need to reconnect with our bodies and desires, at our own pace. We need to give ourselves permission to explore, feel, say yes, and say no without judgment. We deeply believe that pleasure should be free, joyful, and guilt-free. That’s why we offer sensory, playful products designed to create moments of self-care — with no pressure, just pure fun and feeling. Finally, talking, sharing, and surrounding ourselves with positive and supportive discussions really help normalize and free us. Because, at the end of the day, pleasure is not shameful. It’s alive, vibrant, and very human.Love to Love pleasure & wellness products - Intimates talks on Lingerie BriefsQ. How do attitudes toward sexuality differ among younger and older generations, and how can we foster more open conversations across age groups?

A. It’s clear that attitudes toward sexuality vary between generations, but the lines are definitely shifting. Younger generations, for example, grew up in an environment where sexuality is more relaxed, more about exploration, and where issues like gender and consent are more visible and openly discussed. On the other hand, older generations were often influenced by stricter norms, sometimes linked to notions of modesty or guilt — but that doesn’t mean they can’t be just as open or curious. We see pleasure as something that transcends age. L2L products are designed to be inclusive, inviting discovery no matter your age or life experience. And to foster more open conversations between age groups, it’s essential to create spaces for dialogue, listening, and kindness. This can be done through education, destigmatization, and even intergenerational campaigns where pleasure becomes a shared, accepted space of exchange.Love to Love pleasure & wellness products - Intimates talks on Lingerie BriefsQ. How can women embrace menopause as a new and fulfilling chapter in their intimate experiences?

A. Menopause is a natural stage of life, but it’s still surrounded by many taboos — especially regarding sexuality. Too often, it’s seen as the end of sexuality or a loss of desire. But that’s not the case. It’s simply a transition period, where women can reinvent their relationship with their bodies, pleasure, and intimacy. At L2L, we encourage women to view menopause as an opportunity for self-discovery. It can be a time to free yourself from external expectations and focus on what really gives pleasure at this stage: new sensations, new practices, or even exploring pleasure. Products that support lubrication, elasticity, or offer warming or relaxing effects can help navigate this period with more ease and pleasure. The idea is to show that sexuality doesn’t end with menopause — it transforms, adapts, and can even become freer and more fulfilling than ever.Love to Love pleasure & wellness products - Intimates talks on Lingerie Briefs

Q. Can we shift the narrative to view self-pleasure as an essential component of self-care and mental health?

A. Absolutely — it’s the right time to change the conversation! Too often, sexual pleasure is seen as a purely physical concept, when in fact, it’s deeply linked to our overall well-being. Pleasure, whether intimate or not, directly impacts our emotional balance, stress levels, and even our mood. It’s a form of self-care — a way to reconnect with your body, let go, and cultivate lasting well-being. We believe sexual pleasure, just like a good bath, meditation, or an evening with friends, should be part of our personal care rituals. Taking care of yourself also means giving yourself permission to experience pleasure, to listen to your body, and to create moments of satisfaction — free of guilt. These moments have a direct impact on mental health: they release endorphins, reduce anxiety, and improve sleep quality, to name just a few benefits.Love to Love pleasure & wellness products - Intimates talks on Lingerie Briefs

Get lucky on your Gem hunt!

Get lucky on your Gem hunt!

Nylon stocking sizes are crucially important.  It is far too easy to buy pin up 1950s fashion nylons only to find you have bought the wrong size.  Making all the right choices before you purchase will ensure you are not disappointed afterwards.  The first thing you really need to know is that stocking nylon is not the same as the nylon you would find on other garments, like panties or a slip.  Stocking nylon is 100% pure nylon in true vintage stockings and has no stretch properties whatsoever and, as such, can be quite uncomfortable if you get the size wrong.

If you are intending to buy authentic vintage nylon stockings it is important to know more about the term ‘Fully Fashioned’ (FF) and what that actually means.  Here are some fully fashioned facts:

  • A lot of people think that ‘Fully Fashioned’ just refers to the seam that is visible at the back of each leg.  It actually doesn’t.  Having a seam on your stockings is just where the flat-knit ‘fully fashioned’ nylon fabric was joined at the back.  To be truly authentic, that seam must be a join – some seams are just sewn-in ‘fake’ mock seams.  So, to think that the only stockings that can be called ‘fully fashioned’ are those with a seam and contrasting heel is a myth.  Seamless stockings can be fully fashioned too.
  • ‘Fully Fashioned’ actually refers to the natural shape of the leg.  Let me explain.  Because true, authentic pure nylon stockings have no stretch in them at all, manufacturers had to make them in the exact shape of the leg so that they fit snugly and didn’t ‘sag’ in places.  They were perfectly ‘fashioned‘ to the shape of the leg so that they fit neatly around all parts of the leg.  They had to, remember.  If they didn’t, the nylon fabric in some areas would sag while in others they would be too tight.  The stocking should fit neatly around the whole of your leg without sagging or creasing, although a subtle tiny ripple of looseness at the arch of the foot is actually considered fashionably chic in some quarters.
  • With Fully Fashioned (FF) nylon stockings, leg length is actually more important than foot size when it comes to comfort while wearing.  One of the things you must do first of all is to know your leg length because good quality nylon stockings come in different leg lengths, eg: size 10 short; size 10 medium; size 10 long, etc.
  • The alternative to Fully Fashioned seamed stockings are seamless ‘Regular’ stockings that are  knitted over cone-shaped moulds.  As I said, these don’t have seams because they don’t need seams as they are knitted as a big conical ‘tube’ – although a manufacturer could add a ‘mock’ seam just for effect.  This method of manufacture is slightly more forgiving when it comes to sizing, especially since in later years they started adding stretchy Lycra to the nylon mix.  Because these circular spun stockings have a kind of ‘one shape fits all’ idea they will never fit and look as good as vintage fully fashioned nylons.  Watch out for that, as they are not really truly authentic nylons in the vintage sense.

Are Nylon Stockings Fun and Comfortable to Wear?

Yes, nylon stockings can be both fun and comfortable to wear. Their sleek look goes well with any outfit, while their soft nylon fabric helps keep you feeling comfortable throughout the day.  Yes, nylon stockings can be both fun and comfortable to wear. Their sleek look goes well with any outfit, while their soft fabric helps keep you feeling comfortable throughout the day. With sheer, lightweight designs and a range of fashionable colors, there’s no denying that nylon stockings are a great wardrobe addition. Nylon stockings have been a fashion staple for decades, as they not only offer a sleek and stylish look, but are also fun and comfortable to wear.  Nylon stockings are easy to care for, maintain their color over time, and make the perfect addition to any outfit!

The Denier scale is an important factor for those wanting stockings. It’s a French term used to measure the thickness of the thread, and refers to one gram for every nine thousand metres. Sheer stockings or tights have a denier count of 7, which is so light that it almost disappears on the leg. For those after more durability, stockings over 20-denier are opaque; whereas those between 10-20 are still transparent whilst being more resistant. For a balance between wearability and sexiness, 15-denier is the most popular option.

Seamed or Seamless Stockings – What’s Best?  The Pros and Cons of Seamed vs. Seamless Stockings.

Whether you choose seamed or seamless stockings depends heavily on personal preference. Seamed stockings are often thought to be of higher quality and more durable, while seamless stockings tend to fit better and provide a smoother look under clothing. Ultimately, it comes down to individual choice.  Seamed stockings offer a more traditional, vintage look, but seamless stockings are becoming increasingly popular for their sleek and modern look. The choice between the two ultimately comes down to personal preference, as both kinds of stockings can provide comfort and style.

Fleur of England AW25: Celebrating Women, and 24 Years of Luxury British Design

One of the first premium intimate apparel brands I can remember purchasing, Fleur of England was established in 2001 and has since gone on to become an icon of the luxury British lingerie world, having carved out a niche that’s grounded in refined, timeless sophistication and beautiful craftsmanship.

Its founder is Fleur Christacos, who saw a need for truly empowering, beautifully-fitting lingerie while working in an upmarket lingerie boutique alongside her fashion marketing studies. Others in the industry clearly saw a need for it too; her debut collection – designed while still a student – caught the attention of the buying director at Liberty, London’s famous high-end department store, where it launched soon after.

Now, 24 years later, the Bristol-based brand is going from strength to strength with stockists all over the world. Its ongoing success, I believe, can be attributed to the fact it’s still Fleur herself who designs and fits every piece, ensuring the lingerie stays true to her original vision for luxurious intimates that celebrate women and, in Fleur’s words, “the beauty of being completely, unapologetically yourself.”

The new AW25 collection comprises four ranges – Lola, Simone, Cecilia, Onyx – in a rich, sensual color palette of raspberry, amethyst, spicy rouge and black. “I often think of color as the soul of the collection — it sets the tone before the first sketch is even drawn”, she explained when asked to describe her design process

Lola is the most modern-feeling range in the collection however, crafted from simple Italian mesh with glossy silk-bounded edges and strapping details. These styles draw from the popularity of the earlier Fleur du Jour creations, a similarly-minimalist range in black and blush, but the Lola silhouettes feel younger and bolder with their cut-out details, skimpier sides and of course, punchy raspberry hue.

“AW25 draws inspiration from life’s most intimate and unforgettable moments,” explains Fleur, “stolen neck kisses, lingering coffee dates, exhilarating midnight car rides. The kinds of memories that make your heart race and stay with you. Every piece is designed to evoke joy and sensuality.”

Luckily, even after 24 years, the design ideas continue to flow. Even her daily countryside walks, she says, are a constant source of inspiration: “There’s something about wildflowers, light filtering through the trees, or birdsong at golden hour that never fails to stir something in me.”

And like so many designers, her travels also elicit plenty of new ideas, whether it’s from something she’s seen in the local area’s architecture, its textiles, or simply a fresh new color palette. Fleur of England has a very signature look, but it’s also always evolving and keeping up with the times – classic, but not old-fashioned. No wonder it is more popular than ever as it approaches quarter of a century of existence.

All Fleur of England lingerie is crafted in small batches in Wales or Portugal, and the brand’s size range covers 30-38 bands, US A-H cups, and XS-2XL. Lingerie separates begin at £50 (approx. $65), bodysuits from £95 (approx. $130) and nightwear from £135 (approx. $180.)

upcycled vintage slips that get under your skin!

upcycled vintage slips that get under your skin!

With sheer, lightweight designs and a range of fashionable colors, there’s no denying that nylon stockings are a great wardrobe addition.
